Submissions for the 2021 AIPF are now closed.
The festival dates are 10-18 July.

In deciding to go ahead with the Festival we are taking a gamble. We are assuming, or hoping, that mass vaccination will make it possible to resume outdoor events in Greece by July. The final decision is out of our hands – it will be taken by the Greek government and the Municipality of Antiparos. We have set a date – Friday 14 May 2021 – on which we will make a final decision as to whether the festival can proceed. All participating photographers will be informed of the final decision immediately.

If the 2021 AIPF cannot proceed as planned, the festival will take place in July 2022. We sincerely hope that this postponement will not be necessary.

Thanks to a kind donation by Fujifilm Hellas, we are delighted to announce that the photographer with the best submission will be awarded a brand new Fujifilm X-A5 camera with a 15-45mm 3.5-5.6 lens.

This year, we will also be offering our successful photographers a further opportunity to present their work to the public. We will be launching a new website specifically dedicated to the 2021 AIPF. AIPF.live will go live either during or immediately after the Festival and will showcase all the work of the successful photographers, while also providing background information, interviews and other features. This site will run for a full year.

All submissions will be assessed by our five-person jury. You can read profiles of the jury members here.

The theme of AIPF 2020/1 is The Wild Side.

You can walk on it. Be it. Observe it from a distance. Or up close. An animal, a plant, a rock, a tradition, forgotten people, a subculture… Anyone and everything outside our comfort zone. Everything that challenges our day-to-day perception of the world. Alternatives. The wild side is all around us.

If you have submitted work to the AIPF, do make sure that you have read the Submission Guidelines and Terms and Conditions thoroughly. These are for your own benefit.
